Political ActionYou may be aware that there is an attempt to privatize Health Care. It is incumbent for all ONA Members to lobby the Government to KEEP MEDICARE PUBLIC. Remember Canada is known for Medicare. It would be a travesty to allow the government to privatize our Health Care System. The poor and the have-not would certainly suffer. Canada does not wish to become the 51st state of the USA. Me Political? Why should we get involved in Political Action? Still Not Enough Nurses! Act now! Patients can't Wait You have an obligation to make sure the public knows excessive workloads for nurses are leading to stress, absenteeism and increased workplace injury, which can prevent them from providing quality patient care. Call the local, get a pin, bumper sticker and let the public know, Nurses: Strong. Committed. United.
